Who Is Plants By There?
Hello! I’m James, founder of Plants By There!
I’ve been passionate about plants since my days as a garden tool wielding toddler. Fast forward to today, as a fully grown Botanical Designer & ‘Plantscaper’ - My plant obsession is still going strong. My journey to Plants By There hasn’t been the most conventional….. but I’ve sure picked up some nifty skills along the way!

It’s a well known fact that humans need nature around them! You’ll most probably have seen the term ‘biophilia’ thrown around a lot by designers in recent years.
Essentially, house plants bring many benefits to any space that you simply should not ignore. They remove harmful toxins from the air we breathe and generally boost our mood and therefore our productivity (an important one for businesses). Most impressively, indoor plants improve both our mental and physical health and wellbeing…..but if you’re still not convinced, keep reading!

Using indoor plants is the most effective way to soften those hard edges and make a space feel more comfortable and inviting. They also help to diffuse sound and harsh lighting as well as being a beautiful way to create divisions or flow.

Plants add structure, texture and most importantly, drama to any space! Well designed indoor or outdoor planting schemes can communicate who you are as a brand or person to your clients and visitors, leaving lasting impression.

I specialise in choosing the perfect plant types for your setup and what’s more, I love a design challenge. So whether your space is small, gloomy or just plain awkward - there is always a plant solution.
